The groundbreaking celebration welcomed more than 80 guests, including Cleburne Mayor Scott Cain, investors, customer partners (Asher Materials, Eagle Materials, Cemex), suppliers (Penta, Swindell Dressler, Clark Construction), community leaders, and longtime supporters who are helping turn this vision into reality. The program featured remarks from leaders who brought both purpose and process to life:
- Bill Yearsley and DJ Lake, Terra Co-Founders
- Chance Allen, Terra Chief Operating Officer
- Jonathan Green, CEO of Asher Materials
- Cara Lanigan, Clark Construction
Together, they shared not only why this project matters, but how collaboration across innovation, industry, and community makes it possible.
Guests also received a first look at a fly-through video of the future facility and joined in unveiling a commemorative plaque recognizing the significance of this pioneering site.
And in true Terra fashion, the groundbreaking itself looked a little different.
Instead of traditional ceremonial shovels, the first dig was made with an excavator—proudly operated by Jonathan Green, CEO of customer partner Asher Materials who will purchase the plant after commissioning. It was a fitting symbol: innovation doesn’t just show up in what we build, but in how we build it , and who we build it with.
This facility represents more than bricks, steel, and machinery. It represents partnership, ingenuity, and a shared belief that the future of construction can be lower-carbon, resilient, and locally rooted.
The facility is expected to be producing commercially in 2027 bringing sustainability and secure supply chains to the DFW market. We are excited to continue the Terra journey.
